🍂 The Beach Is Better in the Fall & Winter!
Don't assume the beach is only a summer destination. September through December are some of the best times to experience coastal Delaware without the peak-summer crowds.
Fall brings cooler temperatures, beautiful beach walks, biking weather, great restaurants, shopping, festivals, and plenty of reasons to plan a long weekend.
Some of the exciting events scheduled around Rehoboth Beach for the remainder of 2026 include:

September
Delaware Seafood Festival – September 19
Downtown Rehoboth Beach Cocktail Week – September 20–26
FoodeesFest Rehoboth Beach – September 25–27
Dogfish Dash – September 27

October
Rehoboth Beach/Dewey Beach Fall Sidewalk Sale – October 2–4
Coastal Oktoberfest – October 3
Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival – October 15–18

And once November and December arrive, the beach takes on a completely different charm. Enjoy peaceful walks along the ocean, cozy evenings at home, holiday shopping, local dining, and festive events including Schellville's Winter Celebration and the Rehoboth Beach holiday tree lighting and sing-along.
It's the perfect excuse to trade the usual holiday routine for a few relaxing days at the beach.
